Nathan Boyer is digital media artist and data analyst. His awards include a Fulbright Fellowship; artist residences at Yaddo, Skowhegan, Ucross and the quartier21/Museums Quartier program for digital media, in Vienna; and an alumni Travel Fellowship from Tufts University/School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where he received his BA and BFA in 1998. He received an MFA from the Yale School of Art in 2002. Currently a freelance data visualiser and analyst, Boyer was until 2017 an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he taught painting, drawing, video art and design and was, at various points, the head of painting, the coordinator of the 2D Design area, and professor in the core graduate student curriculum. He lives in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
